Finding my happy pace

Do you ever have one of those weeks where you just can’t get your life together?

When life is so full of obligations and tasks that you put off all the things you actually enjoy doing?

I’ve been having one of those  weeks months. I’ve been lacking motivation to get off my butt and run or go to yoga. I’ve made all kinds of great recipes that have gone un-blogged. So much of my time lately has been going to school… reading, writing assignments, searching for co-op placements. When I manage to find some spare time, all I want to do is veg out and relax.

But guess what? Being a lazy bum doesn’t do anything to alleviate my stress.

Running does. Yoga does. Writing does.

Sometimes, you need a little extra motivation to help you get your ‘mojo’ back. That motivation can come in many forms: signing up for a race…. recruiting a friend to work out with… reading a really inspiring blog post…

Or simply finding a fun new running top on sale.

Nice temperatures don’t hurt either. Yesterday, I woke up early and ran 10k along the Belt Line. It hardly felt like the end of November as I ran in capris without gloves or ear muffs. Can this weather please stay here forever?

Anyway. It’s a good thing I finally got out there, because I’m running in the Tannenbaum 10k next weekend with my friend and classmate Ariadne. Here’s hoping the snow will hold off for one more week!

What do you do to get out of a funk?
